We believe in 100% transparency in our products, ingredients, and practices. Every ingredient in our products is listed on the label, and we provide detailed explanations of what they are, where they come from, and why we use each ingredient. We will never use fragrance oils or other ingredients that mask their true formulas behind "trade secret" regulations.
We believe that you should have a clear window into what ingredients are going onto your skin, hair and body so that you can make an informed decision about what products you use.
Intention
We believe that every ingredient should have a clear benefit to add, or it should be removed entirely. We also believe that every ingredient included in our products should be of the highest quality available. That's why we opt for unrefined, cold-pressed and organic ingredients wherever possible and use only pure therapeutic grade essential oils for fragrance.
Growth
We believe that if you are not growing, you're falling behind. That's why we invest heavily in educating our customers on ingredients and formulations, product use, and lifestyle and grooming. Our goal is to help you grow the man in the mirror both physically and mentally, and empower you to take control of your grooming routine and your lifestyle.

Our Story
Hi there. My name is Jack Scrimshire, and I’m the founder of JC Grooming. It’s a pleasure to meet you.
Back in 2014 I started growing my first beard and quickly learned that there are a TON of annoying things to deal with if you’re not taking care of it. My first thought was that I could just stop shaving and eventually I’d have a beard. I could never have been more wrong.
Within a few weeks I started to get the itching and flaking that we’re all familiar with. That’s when I learned about beard oil. Put this stuff on your face and the problem’s solved, right?
Far from it.
You see, I did what most young college students would have done. I hopped on Amazon, ordered the cheapest beard oil out there, and put it on before bed ready to wake up with no more problems.
I woke up the next morning excited to see the results, and was left with red patches of skin, a burning sensation and what felt like needles sticking into my face and jaw.
Oh no.
As it turns out, most beard oil brands use Fragrance Oils. While most brands use skin-safe fragrance and even natural Fragrance Oils, some do not. And even those that do can’t tell you what they’re really made of since the ingredients are considered a “trade secret” by the manufacturers.
That’s when I set out to find a company that used something less questionable, like Essential Oils. I found a brand I liked and saw they advertised that they used Essential Oils. Bingo.
I placed an order and when it arrived I noticed the last ingredient was just “Fragrance”. I reached out and that’s when I learned that a company can still hide their ingredients behind the word fragrance, and even use the term “Essential Oil” as a catch-all term for a blend of fragrance and essential oils without disclosing the ingredients.
That’s when I decided enough was enough, and JC Grooming was born. At JC Grooming we are committed to disclosing every ingredient and putting transparency at the forefront of everything we do. If we can’t tell you what’s in it, we’re not going to sell it to you.

My name is Jack, nice to meet you! I have a background in finance but have been entrepreneurial for as long as I can remember. I love to find problems and create solutions for them. When I’m not working I love listening to music, working on projects, and spending time in the outdoors. You’ll find me in my downtime fishing, working out, watching Lord of the Rings for 12 hours straight, sampling a whiskey I’ve never tried, or reading a book.

I’m originally from Peru, been living in the States since 2005 and so far so good. I have a passion for everything eCommerce. I love bootstrapping businesses but when I’m not working on my craft, I’m usually working out, playing soccer or at the beach!
