How Exercising Helps Beard

Table of Contents

We’re about 2 weeks into the new year, and if you’re like most people you’ve committed yourself to working on your physical fitness. While confidence, a better self image and improved energy and stamina are great benefits of working out on a regular basis, there’s another benefits that may surprise you. That’s right, we’re talking about how your beard growth will benefit from exercise.

How Exercise Helps Your Beard

Exercising regularly can have a vast range of benefits on your body, and some of those have to do with your hair, skin and hormones.

When you work out, you start to sweat, which pushes through your pores and clears them of impurities, dead skin cells and toxins. This helps keep your skin nice and healthy and the pores free and clear to allow your follicles to do their best work.

Having generally good health with a regular exercise routine and a healthy diet will produce a body built on wellness, allowing all of your body’s functions to perform at their highest possible capacity. This is when you’ll start to see that hair growth and skin health shoot through the roof, meaning you’ll start growing a better beard in no time.

And of course, hormones play a huge role in the growth of hair and skin. Working out and eating right results in higher testosterone levels, which leads to increased hair growth.

All in all, working out starts a chain reaction that brings you to a healthier higher performing individual in all facets, including beard growth.

Where Do I Start?

If you’re new to exercise, there are plenty of resources you can go to to get information on diet, exercise routines and lots of other stuff, but I always recommend Reddit as a great place to start. It’s full of a community of people all interested in the same things sorted by category (subreddits) just waiting for you to soak it all in. Join the r/fitness subreddit and in their sidebar, you’ll find everything you need to get started with proven workout routines for beginners written by professionals and tested by thousands of users. The best part is it’s all free and you can find TONS of posts about anything you need to know.

If you’re just looking for a quick start, you can do anything to just get moving and get your blood pumping. Walking the dog every day, going for jogs, and doing push ups before bed are all fantastic ways to get your feet wet and get moving.

Remember, exercise doesn’t have to be painful. It can open you up to a whole new world of experiences. For example, I recently took up photography. My desire to capture new scenery and interesting photos has led me on hikes, bike rides and even just long walks to discover what’s out there.
